Prevent KM documents to save and print

Hi All,

How can I prevent the print & save option from the KM Documents?

Becoz my scenario is, the end user can only view the document of KM, but shouldn't make any copy of the document.

How can I achieve this..? Please help me.

Using ACL's in Portal You can control the read/write/delete access to the files and folders you have. Give the user only read access to the folder containing the files. Navigate to Folder --> Details --> Permissions to do this.

The user can still download the file to his/her machine and can do anything with it. If you want to prevent the user from manipulating the file after downloading to the local machingeyou can considering using PDF format and securing the file using Acrobat features.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Actually my scenario is, the enduser shouldn't download the file from the KM and also shouldn't open in the particular application (Example: document files open in MS Word).

Give me the solution for this.

There is no solution to that.

Displaying documents in a web browser <i>means</i> that they are downloaded to the computer.

Only option i can think of is using documents in .pdf format and disabling the print option but i guess the save option would still be available.

Unfortunately this is a Browser setting. There is no fix
