Filter value in query definition

Hallo experts,

we have the following problem:

When you use the characteristic "ZQUELLSYS" (normal quaracterictic) to filter the query

definition on the two values: "DZ Equity" and "DZ EQUITY" (in the

master data table this two values have two different SID´s), it

is not possible to get both in the filter because the second will

overwrite the first.

If we use a variable on this characteristic it is possible to write in both values, but in the query definition it isn´t possible?????

What can we do because we need both values in the query definition and both values exists in the infrovider data?

Thanks Santra

Tahat means u r have data in lower case too...right. Well, add an attribute to that Io and set an indicator and use it in the reporting. This should solve ur problem....

Thank you very much for the fast answer.

Did i got your answer right? You mean we should use for the infoobject an attribut to decided the upper case cause and the not upper case cause?

We use some times infoobject with no master data (just key and SID exist). Is therefore also a solution existing?

I mean if you maybe have data with the key MAYER and also mayer and maybe that are tow different person it should be a solution to got them both or?

Thank you very much

Santra,

Well your understanding is right. I am asking you to add and attribute to that IO and try to distinguish the values and put an indicator across those values in the attribute. This will help you to filter as you required in the report.
