IDOC

I have one doubt..

in ale we setting the communcation between two clients and the data is passign through one client to another..

then in what situations we use idoc..

iam bit confuse abt this ..

anybody explain me abt this pls....

    see you don't use idoc's for sending data from one client of r/3 to another. it is just an institute method of giving a demo. all you do really is send data from r/3 to XI etc. So when you do send data from one r/3 to XI as an example you will definitely get a clear understanding.

    Hi,

    An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data.

    It is not a process.
