Hi,

Adding to RitiG's explanation ,the material type DIEN when used in PO , it is treated as other materials for which Goods receipt is to be carried out in MIGO. On the otherhand the service master created in AC03 requires Service entry sheet thro ML81N.

Hi,

The services can be broadly categorized in to two categories as follows

1. Direct Services

2. Indirect Services

The Direct services deals with the services which are related to your Product manufactured in your organizational entities.

Let us consider some of the activities as 1. Buffing of Aluminium components which will be used in the final products 2. Outsourcing a Painting activities of C class components 3. Vehicle cleaning services before despatch.

All these have to be added in to your product cost so it is quite obligatory to create these activities as Dien Materials with the necessary database.

Whereas the Indirect services deals with the service function of your manufacturing process which includes 1. Canteen Services 2. Housekeeping Charges 3. Building Painting charges 4. Function celebrations and Gift vouchers

These activities does not play a part in your final component so just create a service master and do the procurement activities.

Hope i had tried to clear your doubts a little.

Dear Suresh,

As far as I know,

AC03 and MM01 with DIEN are not different much.

You will have same impact.

I will try to see if I can come across, I will keep you updated

Thanks & Regards,

Krishna Reddy
