Hi,
One account group for prospects with limited views (e.g., no company code data). The prospects can be converted into customers when there is a need to do actual business.
The number range used for both the account groups will be same, so avoid inconsistency in the master data. Also when a prospect is converted into a customer, the additional fields need to be maintained and the missing views (e.g., company code views) need to be created by the responsible users.
how to do this requirement?

I think the solution would be to extend the partner group to sp also when you feel the prospect is the customer, i think you should use xd07 transaction of changing the account group.
i think there should not be anything that would automatically change a prospect into a customer,

Hi Keyur,
When you want to create a prospect use [VD01] and when there is a need to do actual business use the option [XD01] or [FD01] and maintain the company code view. This way you could avoid having two account groups and it would be within the standard SAP process.
