ORA 01115 ERROR

Hi

Can any body help me.

while i taking online backup i got the error 01115 bacause hard disk has bad sector. what should i do.

    you forgot to tell us which Oracle version you are using and what is your OS.

    if on Solaris, check SAP note 201302

    please supply full error message, if you are lucky, this happened on an index tablespace and a tablespace reorg will clear the problem.

    most ORA-01115s are caused by hardware problems.Approaches differ according to whether you know the cause of the problem or not

    Usually, there is no damage to the datafiles. Unless you can quickly fix the controller and restore access to the datafile

    Find out which datafiles are under the bad controller.If you know for a fact that a disk has bad blocks or is malfunctioning, you should focus on moving the datafiles in it to a different disk, if at all possible. If not, you must consider the files lost and address the issue according to the tablespaces to which they belong

    Hi,

    Perform full backup on another disk. from bad sector hard sisk you can't perform the restore database.
