Cost not capture in Accounting

hi guys!

I just wondering why the cost is captured in COPA but not in FI.I'm not sure whether this is a FI issue or MM because it shows that there's the movement of the material but no accounting document is generated. Why is this happen? Is it something to do with FI or MM? If it's in MM,where should i go to check it out?Any1 can help me please?

ops! i forgot to mention the movement type. It's 653 - GD returns unrestr. Anyone has any idea about this? Please help.

hi guys!

I'm using SAP ECC6.I've checked in the material master oredy. The price control is moving average price and the moving price is 13.70. Material type is Finished Goods. Is it sumthing related with MM or SD? What should i do next?

Hi,

Please check your material that there is any accounting view or not or tell me which movement type you using & for which purpose.

If accounting view is not there in your material then definitely there will be no accounting document.

Check your material in MM03 & accounting is there then check price control it is standard or Moving avarage. And check the price also. Then you able to know.

hi althea,

I have 2 main problem actually.1st is the accounting document is not generated for material document 4900565516 even there's a movement of that material. 2nd is why it is 0.00 for the amount of that material.

To check the accounting document for mat. doc 4900565516, i go to MB03 and click on 'accounting document'. To check the amount, i go to MB51. To check the document flow, i go to VL03N. I guess it's ether because of material document is not relevant to accounting document or the procedure for the subsequent calculation of value is not active in the system.But i don't know how to check this out to make sure that there's sumthing wrong with material movement and so on.

If you are using non-valuated Sales Order Stock (KMAT), there is no accounting document with material movements. The value for of a KMAT is contained in the Production orders and then the Sales Order.

What version of SAP are you working with? 4.6? 5.0? other?

What movement type(s) are you using?

In the Material Master:

What is the Material type?

On accounting 1, Price control?

what is the standard price or moving average?

Is this a new system? or has this just started to happen and is different from previous movements of the same material?
