LMTS or DMTS ??

Good morning,

I've a host with Oracle 9.2 and R/3 4.6C. The tablespace are DMTS.

The question is:

Reading the notes I see that there are notes that advise to upgrade from DMTS to LMTS and others than advise to maintain DMTS.

I see also that the last notes (214995) explain that LMTS is for version 6.10 and upper.

Is that correct ??

I was thinking about make the upgrade.

Hello Albert,

LMTS is the DEFAULT for 6.10 and higher. But of course you can switch to LMTS (via a reorganization) also for lower releases. LMTS is useful in general and particularly useful for BW environments (because they tend to suffer more from space transactions compared to OLTP systems).
