non batch management

Hi All,

I want to change material from batch managed to non batch managed. For this I have reduced unrestricted stock from plant stock by using negative posting of cycle count. I have cancelled all dependent requirements & purchase orders.

Now in MMBE there is no stock of this material. But if i check in MM03 - plant stock screen in plant stock for the previous period tab - 97 EA exist in unrestricted use stock.

If I try to change material to non batch managed then system gives error as " batch exist in plant". Can you please tell me if stock is not there, then why sytem gives this above error?

And is stock exist in previous period is hindering the material to change to non batch managed? If yes! then How to reduce this stock to Zero?

Hi Avainash,

As per my understaning the material is still there in the stock ..................... please check the same in the T-code BMBC for the material...... if the batch level maintained is at the client level then the stock should be zero in the client........

Hi,

You have to archive the existing batch naster records for particular material in MM74

Once a batch is created i dont think it is possible to make the material non batch managed. Pls create a new material.

Hi,

Check the reservations & requirements created.

Better to create new material master for non batch.
