E-mail bursting based on a Hierarchy

All,

We've got a requirement to do bursting of data aggregated on different levels of a Profit Center hierarchy. For the lowest level it's quite simple, as the recipient is defined by an attribute of a profit center. But how could we store a recipient email for Sales Area level, which is a hierarchy node? Anybody has met such requirement before?

Hi Roman Bukarev,

One alternative is: Make your hierarchy node as another Characteristic instead of a Text node.

Then you can assign an email address attribute to that CHAR.

Hi,

That was my first idea. I would need to write some program to populate that new characteristic attribute of a Profit Center from a hierarchy node that it belongs to, and then run it regularly if hierarchy happens to change.

I actually thought that there would be some standard solution for that, as the requirement itself seems to be quite standard.

Were you able to assign multiple email ID's to a profit center? ıf so could you please explain me how you did that
