hello,

if i am understanding then u want to know that why this year shift is +1,

this is because ur fiscal year is year dependent ie the start and end of the period is not on same day. so, in this case u need to follow shortened fiscal year in which +1 signify the considerable fiscal year is next new year.

eg:- suppose the fiscal year is2007-2008, then we say in our system that this is fiscal year 2007 not 2008 even the month comes january of 2008, but in ur case in ur case u will called fiscal year 2008 because ur year shift is +1 and our year shift is -1.

hope this can be useful.

please reward points.

Hi,

In fiscal year variant your are define the periods under different types. one period means it is not a month. it may be one day also. it is not standard one . for Further reference please see the standard ones namely, F1 this is also like one of the customization and standard one.

Coming to year shift. For example according to india the accounting year is April to march. so the First month is according to accounting transactions April and the last month March. But our calendar shows from January to december. That is the reason we are specify Jan to March as -1. See V3 standard one.

IF the accounting year start from May to April. then From Jan to april the year shift will be -1.

Hope this clear, if yes assign points.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I understand the fiscal year being from April to Mar and year shift being -1 from Jan to Mar. But in my case, the year is from Jan to Dec and year shift is +1.

it means u r using k4 fiscal year variant , in ur case fiscal starts from jan ends on dec. so next year will be ur new fiscal year this is reason that ur year shift is +1.

Dear Pres,

Its not K4 ...its a customized variant.

I understand the K4 fiscal year and that ends on 31st Dec.

This one is ending on 29th Dec and also has 2 periods for march, 2 periods for June and so on.

HI,

WHEN THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN THE PERIODS IN ACCOUNTING YEAR AND CALENDAR YEAR THEN ONLY THE YEAR SHIFT WILL COME . IF NOT HOW THE YEAR SHIFT WILL COME CHOOSE YOUR FISCAL YEAR VARIANT AS A CALENDAR ONE .

BUT AS YOU SAID YOU WANT TOTALLY 13 PERIODS AS ACCOUNTING YEAR. IT MEANS YOU WANT TO MAINTAIN TWO PERIODS FOR ONE MONTH OR WHAT

hOPE THIS CLEAR, IF YES ASSIGN POINTS, PROBELM REVERT ME
