Message Mapping

By mistake I have deleted a Message mapping in dev box? If there is a way to get that back?(I know we can do an import from QA or Prod, but I am looking for a different way?)

I think you can get back all the objects which you have deleted, if you haven't activated yet. Goto change list and right click your objects and select reject changes.

    Hi Jenni,

Just go to QA or Prod open related Message Mapping

Hold SHIFT and CTRL buttons in keyboard right click on Data Flow Editor

    in that mapping screen ,

then you will get following options

     Last used

    Tools -

    > Export Tools---->Export it pops up Save window, just give some name and save to local system

    Encoding

copy Message Mapping Name as well.

Now come to DEV and create Mapping program with same name(The Name you copied from QA or Prod)

In Mapping as usually specify source and Target messages without any mapping and Hold SHIFT and CTRL buttons in keyboard right click on Data Flow Editor

Tools->Export tools->Import here select Mapping program which you exported from QA or Prod

Please let me know if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    Jag
