Is there a way in which we can create different navigational views for a query in Web Application Designer. Can anyone give me a step by step process for the same.

Thanks,

Neha.

Neha!!!

You create different navigational view in the Bex and you attach those different view int he WAD, you can't create the view in WAD.

To create the view in BEx:

Execute the query and have it in the navigation you want it to be and SAVE AS global view.

Once you give technical name and description, you attach in WAD web item.

thanks.

Wond,

I have created a query in the Bex query designer and when i am trying to do a SAVE AS its only allowing me to save it in either favorites or roles. I want to save it as one view and build a few views with different key figures and have all the views in a drill down fashion so that when the end-users run the query, by running a specific view they will get all the relevant data. How can I achieve this is query designer. Could you explain elaborately.

Thanks Again,

Neha.

Execute the query first, once you have the excel format displayed.

go to Save button next to the Open button

then the last one is SAVE VIEW GLOBALLY.

Give description and tech name.... then in WAD call with Tech name.

thanks.

Wond,

I have saved two diferent views on a query, but how do i bring them together into the same layout in WAD. My goal is to ultimately have a bunch of views embedded in one single web page.

Thanks,

Neha
