So few people give points like they should...

I've noticed that few people award points for answers, even when very good, lengthy, and helpful answers are given. This is a shame, and really keeps this online SAP community from being the best it can be.

In light of this, please post your thoughts about this in this thread. If you have asked questions before and rightfully awarded points (your profile says so), you'll be rewarded with some points.

Aaron / Gimmo,

This conversation would be more suitable for a larger audience then restricting it to the BPX community only , assuming that this "opinion" of yours ( Points are sensitive topics on SDN - keeping it diplomatic..!!) is for the whole community as such.

Am moving your post to the SDn comments and suggestions forum to have a better healthier discussion.

Arun

Aaron,

My opinion is to have the point system to be redefined, like two levels of point system, helpful and solved.

Hi,

As far as I notice, alot of questions are posed by newbies who are not very familiar how to say "thank you for helping me". They are more interesting in seeking answers to their impending issues. Then again, the purpose of having the SDN forum is very much started with the intention of sharing experiences and knowledge with the SAP community, as well as information collaboration... no biggie eventually when this big picture is looming in the background.

Cheers,

Gimmo

Aaron, this is a very correct observation and lenthy discussions about this are hosted in a community discussion forum called . Individual moderators do urge members to behave responsibly. For example, Arun V. in this very forum has been outstanding in that activity. Further discussion of this belongs in the Coffee Corner, but of course gently poking members to remind them of this netiquette might also be helpful. Some folks simply don't realize that they can or should reward so thanks for reminding us here.
