Basic information on SEM

I want to accelerate to SEM module from FICO. Can anyone brief me about basic functionality of SEM and if possible config guide. I searched in SAP baseline building block, but could not find any documentation.

Hi

SEM is sitting on BIW . So you should have the basic knowledge of BIW like data modelling, data source, info source, characteristics and key figures and various types of info cubes. Reporting is done by BEx analyser and u should also have the knowledge on how to build a query. Once you have this knowledge, then u can start learning SEM component. The key components of SEM are 1 Business planning 2 Business consolidation (more suited for persons with finance back ground) 3 Corporate performance management.

Each one is a separate module by itself.
