Would you like to have a Flex forum?

After reading Engaging User Interfaces with Adobe Flex from Matthias Zeller, I started to learn Flex...So...Would you like to have a Flex forum inside the Scripting Languages main forum???

I already added some info to the Scripting Languages WIKIhttps://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EmTech/Mustreadweblogs">Must Read Blogs (Scripting Languages WIKI)

And going to add more as soon I get more involved in Flex Development...

Waiting for you answers and comments -:) Specially from our Flex main developer

Dan McWeeney -;)

Greetings,

Blag.

I second Blag ! Having started on Flex very recently I think it will be very helpful for budding "Flexers" like us to receive help from the Flex Gurus. Now come on Matt & Dan 😊

Hope one day we too get to "flex" our muscles 😊

I would also be very interested in a RIA forum on SDN since i'm convinced that User Interfaces are the most important thing for the end users. Having attractive UI's would help end users to be more positive about SAP applications since they most of the time judge what they see and not what happen in the background !

So let's start this new forum !

I think that having a Flex forum will help the community a lot. SAP has a lot of business functionalities, and FLEX provides fantastic UI functionalities. Projets are starting to move towards this combination to get best of both areas. I am already working on one such project.

While working on the project, there will be numerous technical problems one face, and with research and efforts, solve the problems and go ahead. This... is justified for the first time... but it does not make sense for others too to spend time on the very same problems. While this is the general mindframe behind any forum, having a FLEX forum will categorize this emerging combination of technology, and people will be able to use the forum much more effectively.

    Thanks,

    Gopal Nair.

I can honestly say I rarely have any problems that can be categorized as SAP Flex interactions. The only ones I can think of are Flex2 problems due to the complexity of SAP WS, which to my eye appear to have been solved in Moxie. Unless someone is doing something crazy like setting up a local connection to a JCo server most questions are probably most easily directed to Flex" target="_blank">http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/">Flex Coders or ApolloCodershttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/apollocoders/">ApolloCoders>. There are Adobe platform folks on there who answer questions along with a ton of developers who have dug around a lot in the Flex framework. Most questions I have posted on there have either been solved or turned into bug reports.

To Ed's point though most of my experience is limited to Flex/Flash so maybe an RIA Forum is the best plan.

it would be great to have a flex forum. I am now trying to connect flex to webservices query_view_data from BW, but I takes me a long time to get into the WSDL. A Flex forum would help me a lot!
