Hi All,

we are planning to copy the trascation data from PRD server to QTY server for some real time data which will be helpful for testing...

Now i had any idea of doing a client copy from PRD to QTY, but on the PRD server it says that the Client will not support for a COPY.....

Do i have to change the CLIENT PROPERTIES so that i can carry on with the activity....

Or

Is there any other way through which we can get this activity done....

Please help... me it is very much urgent.

Waiting for a quick reply

Hi !

First you need to check the PRD server and see the size of your DB. To do this go to DB02 and check the value of Total size/kb . Or DB02 ->Current Sizes->Total size (kb) for all the tablespaces.

Second - do the same check on QTY.

Make the difference between the two sizes.

Check on QTY on OS level how much free space do you have left (ex. df -m)

If the testrun was OK and you have enough free space on QTY then it should be ok.

Be aware that performance is decreasing on PRD, so it's better to do it outside office hours.

Hi all,

We are running an a REMOTE CLIENT COPY from a PRD server to QTY and the test run was successful,

But i just want to know how to find out the space required on the QTY server, bcoz the test run shows that the table PSAPSR3 requires about 20 GB. Say 22GB.

Now can anyone help me how to chk if the QTY server is having @ the OS level.

I understand that DB02 can help me, but how can i know from DB02.... i need a lil focus on how to use DB02 for this purpose....

Or is it OK that we can carry out this activity as the test RUN was successful.

We have AIX, Oracle and SAP ECC 6.0

Looking forward for some help,

Reward points for all helpful answers...

Thanks in Advance.

Hello,

If your PRD system is the production system and is productive, be careful about performance : the client copy may slow down a lot your PRD system...

Hi,

What is the exact error message you are getting?

First you have to log in into the QTY client (where you want to copy the data from PRD). Usually you perform the copy with an administrator user.

Execute trx SCC9 and enter the required information.

If you are getting an error check the client QTY settings in trx SCC4. Double click the QA client you want to copy and check the settings under "Client copier and comparisson tools" and the Object Changes settings (the client must allow changes).

Hoe this helps you.
