execute the application using the short name

E: "C:\Progra~2\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\designer.exe"

you can do this using a batch file...

sometimes especial characters "programfiles(x86)" make crash the odbc drivers......in this case ora8.

Hello sukrut,

Is this a new installation ??

Have you revised the environment variables ?? If you have TNS problems it can be due to problems with incorrect environment variables.

Regards.

TNS related errors shd be checked with tnsnames.ora file.

Check ur SID and confirm with tnsping utility it will help you out

Without knowing anything it's impossible to help you.

We need at least the following information:

- database version

- connect string (which what user do you want to connect)?

The standard users and passwords (system/manager etc.) are changed on installation.
