Hi, All
What is the difference between general IBM DB2 Fixpack's and special fixpack's for SAP , e.g. DB2 9 FP2 and DB2 9 FP2SAP ?
And why SAP is strongly recommend to use special FPxSAP instead of general IBM DB2 fixes ?
With best regards, Dmitry
Thanks, Frank.

Hi,
the SAP fixpacks often include last minute fixes that are relevant for the SAP products and have been found during validation in the IBM/SAP integration center in Toronto or at SAP in Walldorf.
If SAP decides to ship a special fixpak it typically differs from the IBM fixpaks only by a small number of APARs. Not for all IBM fixpaks there is a SAP special fixpak (see not 101809 ).
Regards
Frank
