hi,guys,i am beginner for xi.

i am reading The Beginner's Guides by Bio.

refer to the below links:

<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/73527b2c-0501-0010-5398-c4ac372c9692">part1</a>

<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/6bd6f69a-0701-0010-a88b-adbb6ee89b34">part2</a>

there are the below words in tip13,tip14,tip15 of part1:

But in our case, the idea is to get the IDoc from R/3 and hence we don’t need a sender configuration or sender agreement.

No senders agreement for inbound IDoc flow from R/3 to XI. We need identify the sender only.

In this case, we don’t need a communication channel for the SENDER to communicate to XI. This will be taken care by RFC. Refer to the settings we maintained in the beginning of this column

there are the below words in tip4's 14 of part2.

But in our case, the Idea is to Send the IDoc into R/3 and hence, we don’t need a sender configuration and hence no senders agreement.

since don't need a sender configuration... above.

, but why are there the belows words in tip7's 19 of part2:

Create the Sender and Receiver Agreements and refer to the Beginners Guide Part 1 for all information on this part of XI Settings and configuration.

i am so confused, i don't konw why!

i wanna know:

what scenario xi need to create a sender agreement, and when don't need to create it?

thanks !

Hi joy

When you are sending the IDOC from R/3 to XI you need not specific the Sender Agrement because, IDOC communicate using the Ports (Trfc) when you want to send the IDOC from R/3 to XI first on the R/3 side you have to confiure the sender system to send the IDOC, this configuration involves defining the DATA Modelling and partner profile for that IDOC.

when you define the Data modelinig you are specifing who is receiving and sending the IDOC, in your case R/3 sender and XI receiver.

then you are defnining the parnter Profile where you are specifing the Port which IDOC uses the this port contains the RFC destination of typ3 which is poining to XI. so when you trigger the IDOC from R/3 it usess this port Trfc to enter into Xi.

Now when you are sending the IDOC from Xi to R/3 on XI you are defining the PORT in IDX1 which contains the RFC Destination poinint to R/3 so this port you maintained in the IDOC reciver adapter. ( even thr partner profile of theIDOC on the R/3 will be defined to recive from XI).

Hope it is answered

Hello

Typicallly if ur pushing the messages to XI integration server e.g. as in case of IDOC, HTTP, RFC, Proxy u don't require sender agreement while incase ur sender adapter is pulling the message to XI integration server i.e. incase of JDBC, File u require the same.

Hi Joy,

In short,

You need not configure sender agreements for IDOC and HTTP adapters, for rest of the adapters you will have to create Sender agreements.

Hey

if u have IDOC,HTTP or proxy on the sender side then u dont need to create sender communication channel or sender agreement ,in all other cases u do need sender CC and sender agreement.

Note:even for SOAP and Mail u dont really need to have sender agreement but its strongly advised to create one for them.you expliciltly need sender agreement for SOAP when ur doing encryption.

Thanx
