Hi Vimol,

You need to go to Basic Settings in SPRO IMG and their Click on Number Ranges and Grouping to create a new one and then assign the same for BP's.

Pls revert if any issues.

Hi Vimol,

For this guess you need to go to Groping in SPRO and select your group eg: Employee, Ship to Party, General etc and there you need to aasign your Number Ranges Code beside the desired Group.

This will solve it.

Dear Suji,

Because I create the new role , sucha rol: ABC

and I create the new number range : Z08, Then I create the new group Z008 fro grouping number range Z08. But I don't know how to map to role ABC.

This is my question. Because this one is the internal number range, but I do not start at 0 but start at 8000 .

Please kindly advise.

Thank you and best regards,

Dear Vimol,

Your role is ABC, range is z08 and it is grouped under z008 right? Now go to number ranges and grouping in IMG and assign the group to your role. After assigning , if you want it to be the internal number range, select the radial button to the internal number range.

I guess this is what you have to do.

Cheers

Hi Vimol,

In CRM standard system it is not possible to link specific role with specific grouping.

To achive the same go to following IMG path:

SAP Implementation Guide>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business Partner>Basic Settings>Number Ranges and Groupings>

Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges

Hope you selected the opton button for column 'Int Std.

I already suggested a work around above.

Dear Vimol,

You may not link role with number ranges in CRM .BP will be created with some role ,that means it has taken the number range in to account while creating(You already grouped ) .

Dear Vimol,

No way to link Role and number rang in CRM.

Try like this:

Try to create the number range (from the current number) and create new grouping -assign grouping to number range.

Manually create the BP in the new role.If you dont want to use the old role you can Hide it by checking the Hide flag.Try changing the position of roles also.

Hi

After creating your number ranges and defining grouping you need to assign number ranges to these groupings.

Now go to BP transaction and select the role you want to create your BP in.

Selecting the Grouping you earlier created will help you do a role specific number range assignment.

Hi Vimol,

What is ur landscape are you using R/3 or standalone CRM?

Do you want the BP to be replicated to R/3?.Our answer depends on ur reply
