Group Asset

Dear All,

i am getting confusion on Group asset , in my client i prepared superate asset class for Group Asset, so here i maintain group assets for all assets ,

while assining these group assets to main assets , system is giving message main asset class and group asset class is different ,

my question is can i maintain different classes for group asset and main asset

and is there necessary to maintain grou passet for sub asset also

    Hi,

    My understand is..

    The group asset makes it possible to group a number of assets together for the purpose of uniform evaluation and depreciation. Group assets are assigned to asset classes, just like other assets. The asset class of the group asset is not relate to asset classes of the assets that belong to it.

      that is Ok but my question is is there any necessity to maintain same asset class to both asset and group asset
