hai

what all the other people said is correct

but at first level collect data regarding what are all the kinds payment types are there like fixed ,scale based, hourly etc.

basing on this u can create pay scale types.

once types are done then u can move to pay scale lavels

this can be arraived at by the designation leval like manager, senior manager, asst manager etc u can specify them as managers level1,level2,level3 etc

hi kunal,

Determining the Pay Scale Grouping for Allowances is the first step in the configuration of Payroll India. You cannot even define the wage types without defining Pay Scale Grouping for Allowances.

The Pay Scale Grouping for Allowances depends on certain pay parameters. The system provides you with the following pay parameters:

1. Employee subgroup grouping for Collective Agreement Provision (CAP)

2. Pay scale area(Location of your company)

3. Pay scale type(type of industry)

4. Pay scale group(salaried/wagetype)

5. Pay scale level (levels of emp's among salaried/wagetype)

1st u need to group the employee sub group grouping for payscale grouups

u can create payscale levels and types with wagetypes and without wage types also this will be help in indirect valuation of wage type with TARIF module.
