Post Goods Issue Not creating COPA document

Hi,

When I post goods issue, it is generating accounting document, and Profit center document, but no profitability analysis document. I do not have COGS as a cost element. Could this be the issue?

Thanks,

Ram

Are you using costing based or accounting based COPA. If costing based then COGS will only get posted when you issue the billing document and if accounting based then COPA should have been updated during Goods Issue for Delivery. Also are you using the condition type VPRS or a Valuation strategy to post the COGS to COPA. If VPRS then check transaction KE4I if VPRS has been assigned to the COGS value field.

Hope this helps

Hi Siva,

Thank you. We are using costing based COPA, and COGS is getting posting during billing document creation.

Another question. Is it required to create COGS as a cost element?

Thanks,

Ram

Hi,

Not required . On assignment of SD condition type to COPA value field the value flows to COPA.

You don;t have to create cost element for COGS, it will be picked up from the condition type assignment of VPRS to a vlaue field. this is what my understanding is , any more suggestions would be welcome.

Hi,

Just check what account assignment has been mentioned in the accounting document. Is it the sales order, WBS etc.

If yes, then you assumption is correct. You need to have the COGS as cost element and also check whether you have maintained the same cost element in T.CodeOKB9

Hope this helps, if yes, please assign points.
