HTTP service not in active state in SMICM ??

Hi,

HTTP in SMICM -> Goto -> Services is not in active state. When trying to activate it, im getting error at the bottom saying "Operation Failed (rc=1)"..

So please suggest what should i look for to activate it ??

Hey

do you have any other service on this machine too? i guess some other application is using the HTTP port,try to configure some other port for HTTP.also what does the trace say?

I checked the trace in dev_icm, it says

No other service has used this port (8050).

I could resolve the issue. I changed the HTTP port to a different port in the instance profile and restarted sap. It is showing as activated now in the SMICM.
