COS in COPA Report (KE30) not reconciling with Financial Statement

Former Member

Hello Experts,

We currently have a challenge with reconciling our costing-based COPA to FI Financial Statement on ECC 6.0. Please note the following:

  • We use Material Valuation approach to derive finished goods cost of sale value in COPA using the standard and actual cost components.
  • At the end of the period, we revaluate inventory to actual in FI using Actual Costing with Material Ledger.
  • In our reporting, we compare COPA Actual COS (based on the actual component split) to FI Cost of Sales, however, there is always a gap in reconciling both values.
  • I need to know if both values can fully reconcile? How can this reconciliation be done, please?

Thank you.

Rose,

I would recommend you check the cost elements of your cost estimate vs. Actual Cost at the end of the month and the accounts corresponding to your cost elements, additional costs or Overhead, check all your accounts and compare against what is produced or what is actually paid For manufacturing costs, then compare the actual costs of manufacturing versus your part numbers sold, you may find that way if you find yourself reconciling not the figures.
