Printer Setting

Dear all,

I use a printer (Brother MFC-425CN,connect to a router) but can not print.

I use SPAD to set a printer. The following is my setting information.

Device Attributes :

Device Type : CNSAPWIN : MS WINDOWS DRIVER VIA SAPLPD

SPOOL SERVER: SAPSERVER_NSP_00

Host : servername

Device Class : standard printer

Access Method :

Host Spool Access Mehtod : S: print using SAP protocol

Host printer : MFC-425CN

Destination Host : 192.168.1.101

If you are using device SAPWIN - widows via SAPLPD, then you need to use access method F or G for front-end printing.

If printing without the windows front end is required (eg Background Jobs), select a different device type - eg POST2 for postscript or PCL4 seem to work with a lot of printers.

There is a 40+ page OSS note that lists printer types and the device type you should use if these standard ones do not work.
