Cash Budget Management (Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.00)

We are upgrading ECC 6.0.

In one of our Company code - Cash Budget Management is active.

In new version, We are unable to see relevant application & transaction codes.

While posting transaction, system returns error

"Commitment item DUMMY30-3 does not exist in FM area 1000, fiscal year 0000, and variant "

Please assist us as to how to resolve this & in R/3 enterprise, where we can find Cah Budget Management.

I think your error message is related fund management modules.

In ECC 6.0, There are so big chage of FM.

To see a FM, first you have to activate SAP ECC Extensions(T-code SFW5)

" EA-PS - Public Services"

You can figure out that FM have big changes.

Especially, derivation rule(T-code : FMDERIVE) was chagned and new program.

Hi,

We are not using Fund Management.

Commitment Item exists in 4.6C & same are assisgned to GL account.

However, in ECC 6.0, system returns error that Commitement item does not exist for FM Area/Fiscal Year/Variant.

Now going ahead in ECC 6.0, which module needs to be implemented in place of cash Budget Management. Also, the problem we are facing while posting documents (i.e. Commitement item for fiscal year 0000 does not exist) - how to resolve this.

Is there any write ups/oss notes which can be referred?

Hi Nikhil,

To my knowledge CBM is included in Funds Management under node of public sector mgmt.

Here you will find configuration and settings for CBM.

CBM was completely removed in ECC 5.0
