QM Average value in quantitative characteristic.

Hello team, I need your help.

I have one question :

For at quantitative characteristics, ex Viscosity.

Is it possible for SAP QM to obtain the mean value (average) of the values obtained within different inspection points and exclude off-spec values ? this quantitative value has to be printed in the CoA.
is that possible ? If so, how to do it ?

Thanks for your comments !!.

Hi, you may also try to mark the off-spec values as invalid using the attributes field. Those should be excluded from the average - at least in i singles value recording, not certain of the behavior with inspection points offhand.

yes, using an 03 inspection lot you can and the average running result can transfer to the batch when the inspection point is valuated.

Please do some research.

Hi Craig, Thanks for reply.

we don´t use inspection type 03 and also the result are not save in batch.

we are using inspection type 04 and the results are coming from in-house programa from the CoA looking the last results from the inspection point.

No, the running average is not supported for 04 inspection types, only last results.

But please do an OSS search on this. look for note 2237411 in particular but others as well.

I believe this note now allows updates to the characteristic's median value in results so you might be able to leverage that for your COA program.
