Hi Experts,

Is there any way we can add custom filters for Marketing Calendar app?

For an example: I have added custom dimension for budget plan and would like to filter campaigns based on that dimension values.

Hello Dinesh,

There are differents aspects in your question:

- Are custom fields from the campaign object available in the Marketing Calendar filter? Unfortunately not yet, but this is our close roadmap to enable this functionality. However, the custom fields on the campaign object are available in the table view. The table view has the possibility to sort and filter and in this particuliar view, the campaign custom fields are are available.

- Are custom fields from the campaign object available in the Marketing Calendar grouping? Yes this is available since 1705.

- Are the budget dimensions available in the campaign? No, they are not. If you are using programs to group campaigns and also assigning a funding source to the program, the dimensions are shown in program. This said, they are not available in the campaign through extensibility. At the moment, if you want to have a reference to a budget dimension value in campaign, you would have a create a custom field for campaign and have the user set the value.

Hi Joel,

The marketing calendar is a campaign calendar. We cannot filter campaigns using program attributes (standard or custom). We hear this requirement however, nothing is currently planned in this regards.

Another related question: you can group the campaigns in the marketing calendar by their owner but you can't filter them by the owner. I tried to follow the guide here https://help.sap.com/viewer/13d84c47bb6749a188fd53915c256516/1902.500/en-US/b37a5c3f-b50b-40fa-b25b-... for custom fields but 'owner' is not a custom field.

How can I add 'owner' as a filter to the marketing calendar?

Hi Joel,

It is not possible to filter by owner, despite being able to group by owner. "Filter" means a backend search in our case and the owner information cannot be used for searching at the moment. However, if you toggle to the list view instead of the calendar view, you can filter (there, it is a real filter) on owner because it is a "UI" filter and not a backend search. It filters the retrieved list of the "Filter" on the right hand side of the header, which is in fact a search. It is probably not what you are looking for. Your request is to search campaigns based on the owner. We don't have this functionality at the moment. We can only filter by the owner in the calendar list view, which is from a list that was retrieved based on the selected dates and the search attribute selection.
