Passing Data between IViews

Hi,

I have created two IViews for WD application and JSPDynpage. In the WD Iview I am executing a BAPI and then raising an event, this event is catched in JSPDynPage. This is working fine.

Now, the problem is, data can be too large, in that case raising and catching events may cause problem. So is there any other way to pass the data between IViews.

I am trying clientDataBag also, I am able to store and retrieve data in JSPDynpage, but I dont know how to store and get the data in WD Application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

Amit

    hi,

    You can EPCF... to pass data from one iview to the other. or u can use session variable to store the data. and retrive the value from the session variable.

    thanks

      I am already using EPCF for raising and catching the event, my problem is I am trying to store data in WD and then accessing it from JSP dynpage.

      How I will store data in WD, currently I am using following code for storing data in WD:

      <b>WDScopeUtil.put(WDScopeType.TASK_SCOPE, "project1", "dataObject");</b>

      But I am not able to access project1 variable in JSP DynPage using following code:

      <b><%IPortalComponentRequest currentRequest = (IPortalComponentRequest)

      pageContext.getAttribute(javax.servlet.jsp.PageContext.REQUEST);

      %>

      <% project =currentRequest.getComponentSession().getValue("project1").toString(); %> </b>

      Please help me on this.

      Thanks and Regards,

      Amit

    Hi!

    I think you might want to look at this piece of documentation:
