Export ABAP only from BI ABAP-JAVA system

Hi All,

We have several problems with an BI 7.0 system.

on this system is ABAP and BI JAVA installed.

is it possible to export the ABAP part <u>ONLY</u> and use this for a new installation ??

Thisnew installation must include ABAP and BI JAVA.

are there some notes for it?? and is this supported by SAP??

Are you sure , it's possible to put BI-JAVA on top of it.

because it was already done the first time on the source system ??

do you have some documentation or notes which describes the procudere and that iits supported by SAP.

but am i enable to install to start the import of the ABAP part and install a fresh JAVA part??

this is not described in this manuals .

i have heard from some it's onle possible to install the JAVA part Once!!

any idea ??

Hi,

Since once you create the export dump for the ABAP part only then you try to setup the ABAP system.

Now once that is done then you try to install java on top of it. along with other usage types as you wish to have.

This should be possible.

Yes this is possible. Under the link http://service.sap.com/instguides follow to the system copy part and there you get the documents pertaining to the export of only ABAP part from the dual stack.

It should be possible for you take it up from there on.
