Hello Experts,

I am working on SAP PI7.3 Dual stack and has Java 8 Update 131 on my system.

I am getting the following issues, tried from my side and checked SDN too but did not get any solution

Issue 1: I can open the Integration builder page Unable to launch the ESR or ID ,giving the error as Unable to launch ESR/ID" on my system

Issue 2: Unable to open the Integration Builder page itself with the same URL and giving the error as "The page cannot be displayed.Make sure the URL is correct.Look for the page with your search engine.Refresh the page in a few minutes."

Can you please advise? Its really urgent.

Thanks in advance,

7.3 requires JDK 6 try installing that and see.

JDK 8 is for 7.5.

Hi Manoj,

Thanks for the reply.

In my local system its java 8 u131 because there is one more SAP PO7.5 I need to access but it seems I have to uninstall it whenever I need to access PI7.3 ,is it or is there any work around ?

In remote system will have to check the java version but the error seems more about the connectivity settings or host files, can you please advise on this?

Thanks in advance

Even i do have this situation so i have installed both JDK6 and JDK8 in my system.

So when i want to open any PI system i do it via run command :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_45\jre\bin\javaws.exe http://host:port/dir/start/Directory.jnlp
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.8.0_131\jre\bin\javaws.exe http://host:port/dir/start/Directory.jnlp

Just put the above in run and enter

Br,

Manoj

Thanks Manoj.

But if I download jdk6 u45 which is suitable for PI7.3 dual stack will it ask for replacing jdk8u131 while installing?

Thanks in advance

No it doesn't ask for replacement but in java console for system you can assign any one at a time , however that wont be any issue just install asusual you do and run the above command accordingly .

Multiple JDK can exist in a system:

Hi Manoj,

I tried with the Windows+R then entered the following

C:\Program Files (x64)\Java\jdk1.8.0_131\jre\bin\javaws.exe http://host:port/dir/start/Directory.jnlp

But giving the error as

Windows Cannot find the path Make sure it is correctly typed.

Can you please advise?

Thanks in advance

Can you please check under which folder you have installed jdk :

Are you able to navigate to this C:\Program Files (x64)\Java\jdk1.8.0_131\jre\bin\javaws.exe ? If not check the path wherever you have installed and replace that one.

Hi ,

Issue 1: I can open the Integration builder page Unable to launch the ESR or ID ,giving the error as Unable to launch ESR/ID" on my system

remove Java 8 and keep only Java 6 for PI 7.3 . sometime two different version of java create conflicts .

Unable to open the Integration Builder page itself with the same URL and giving the error as "The page cannot be displayed.Make sure the URL is correct.Look for the page with your search engine.Refresh the page in a few minutes

add url in control panel ->Java -> Security -> high and edit site list

Warm Regards,

Rudra
