How to keep printing script in landscape with LOCL

Dear Forum,

We have a script document to print in landscape. It works when printing with the printers that are defined on SAP. It is a 3 pages spool. But, when it is printed using LOCL, only the first page is landscape, the rests are printed as portrait.

I have tried creating a new device type as a copy of SAPWIN and assign only page format with landscape orientation, but didn't help.

Do you have any idea?

Regards,

Agoes

The problem has been solved by assigning HPLJ4, the very flat PCL5 device type onto a copy of LOCL output device, e.g. called LOCL-PO.

LOCL means it is not assigned to SAP. Usually we print all our documents on SAP socfigured printer only... so, you can omit this error... until unless it prints wrong in SAP there is no need to worry.

Also not in SAPscript there is no way that you can print one page in Landscape and second page onward in portrait... this can only be acheived in SMArtforms.

Hi Sai Ram,

Thanks for your response.

But, what we need is printing all pages in landscape using LOCL. Since, that is the way it is set. Unfortunately, it is only working for the first page.

Using SAP printers, it work. Do you have any idea in how to print them in landscape using LOCL without changing the windows printer default setting?

LOCL is local Printer, If so you should use SAPWIN device type and make sure the driver is installed correctly on the local PC. Please check Note 128105 - Frontend printing (collective note) for more information.

For more understanding, go through the below information...

LOCL - Local printer which you have installed in our computer.

LP01 - Standard SAP printer. This is the default printer if you havent specified any LOCL printer.

If LOCL is available, then LOCL overrides LP01.

Close the thread if your question is answered.

I know that .........

I was using SAPWIN, didn't work. That's why I created a new device as a copy of SAPWIN, called ZSAPWIN, configuring the format type ZDINA_L, etc. to push it in landscape only. Change the form to use this page format. But, still didn't help.

My curiosity is, why it works with SAP printer, but not LOCL? Another thing is, if it really doesn't work with LOCL, why I got the first page printed correctly in landscape. The 2nd and 3rd are printed in portrait?
