How to grant Java Security Role?

Hi,

I logged into the tool 'Visual Admin" (logged in thru SAP* acct)..

I need to grant 'Java security role' to one user..

But when i click on 'Mapping' tab, it would not allow me to add the user to this role.

Add button got gray'd out..

Do i need to login as another acct?I thought SAP* got all privs..

Thx

Ram

    Hi,

If you want to give JAVA related authorization then use the UMI and try to login through the J2EE_ADMIN user in that, which will allow u to create the user and also grant the JAVA related authorization to it.

    Hi,

First of all, login using j2ee_admin.

    Then proceed as following :

    1. Open Visual Admin, Navigate to Server → Services → Security Provider → runtime → Policy Configurations.

    2. In the Components area, select the application (or service).

    3. Choose the Security Roles tab page.

    4. In the Mappings area, select a user/group.

    5. In the Security Roles area, select the security role that you want to assign to

    users or groups.

    6. Add the users/groups using Add.

    Best Regards,
