Hi Experts -

When I print a report in BEx Analyzer, it prints lots of blank pages. Is there a way I can avoid this? Please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi all,

In Excel 2007 the Bex Analyzer uses several Styles. Outside the report area the style is "normal". But within this "normal" style (applied by Bex Analyser) it uses color, or shadow. If you remove this by modifying the style (and save it to your workbook), Excel will not print the excess of empty pages anymore.

Worked for me. I hope it will work for you to.

This solves my problems a little but not entirely. Still looking into it!

Hello!

I have the same issue than you. Did you resolved it?

Thank you in advance.

Check your Print Settings in the Excel workbook. It sounds like you may have selected a print range that includes more than just the query results, or you may have "extra" rows or columns (calculations, other data, etc.) that are causing this.

One other case where I have seen this happen is if I try to print in too small a font size (typically, Scaling < 50% on Page Setup screen). In that case, sometimes the last column can get "wrapped" into an extra page and causes a lot of blank pages to be printed. If this is the case, you can manually increase the width of the last column to see if that solves the problem.

Hope this helps...

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your replies.

The scaling factor is 100% in my case.

About the print area and selection, the users are already doing the excel things.

The grid analyzer with only the data works but the title of the report is missing. And I'm sure the users would want that.

Any more ideas?

Hi,

It might sounds strange or stupid, but it worked for me once...

just put the width of the columns that are printed with white cells on zero.

normally (in my case) then the extra columns disappeared...

Hi,

or you define a print area in excel (but can not be saved, so have to define it every time) or you delete the content of the 'blank cells', or when printing, just define which pages you want to print... These are all excel-possibilities...

If you only want to print your analysis grid and nothing more (no titles...) you can go into design mode, and in the analysis grid, check 'adjust print area'

Ciao
