4.7 to ECC 6.0 Upgrade | Error in PHASE JOB_RSUVSAVE | Please help

Hi All,

We are upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6.o. The DB is also upgraded from Ora 9i to 10g. The DB upgrade has finished successfully and now we are upgrading 4.7 to ECC 6.0. This is combined upgrade and unicode conversion. All was going well untill yesterday. yesterday we got an error during the phase JOB_RSUVSAVE.

Here is the log -

ERROR: unknown hostname "abcd"

The message server of your SAP system is not running,

or the hostnames known by the message server are wrong.

When i checked the log file PSUVSAVE.LOG, this is what i got -

I checked my hostname in the host file. i checked it by pinging it. I checked it in SM51. EVERYTHING was fine. There is no problem with the hostname at all. Now we are stuck and not able to move. Please someone help us on this .

Guys , the issue is resolved. The hostname was in UPPERCASE in the host file. I changed it to lowercase and ran PREPARE again. It running.
