Upgrade SAP 4.6C to 4.6D R3up procedure

Dear All,

Can anyone advice for a precise detailed procedure on how to Upgrade

SAP 4.6C to SAP 4.6D using the R3up procedure?

you will need to do the following:

- upgrade your kernel from 4.6c to 46D or 46D_EXT, this is basically an exchange of the binary files on the harddisk

- you need an upgrade CD/DVD set for upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0

if talking about R/3, version 4.6D does not exist.

what is the usage of this system?

Reference from SAP Note 965145

(46D SAP kernel CD Material Number: 51019881) We have this plan of upgrading the kernel of our existing R/3 to make it compatible to run on IA64.

We have this plan to upgrade in this path

R/3 4.6C (R3up process) to R/3 4.6D to (SAPinst) ECC 6.0

So if anyone can kindly provide me the procedure for R3up "R/3 4.6C (R3up process) to R/3 4.6D" r3upgrade.

Hi,

Upgrade the kernel of 46c to 46d then read the upgrade manual of ECC6..u will have upgrade the database engine fro 8->9->10..read the manuals and go ahead
