What is mirrlog,origlog saparch, sapbackup,sapcheck,sapreorg &saptrace?

Hi,

Can anyone plz give me some details about

1. mirrlogA,

2. mirrlogB,

3. origlogA,

4. origlogB,

5. saparch,

6. sapbackup,

7. sapcheck,

8. sapreorg &

9. saptrace files

Hello,

The meanings are as follows :

1. mirrlogA : it is first memebr of redo log groups in oracle db....which afterward converted to archives...(This is backup copy of : origlogA)

2. mirrlogB :it is second member of redo log groups in oracle db ....which afterward converted to archives...(This is backup copy of : origlogB)

3. origlogA : it is original memebr of redo log groups in oracle db....which afterward converted to archives...

4. origlogB :it is original memebr of redo log groups in oracle db....which afterward converted to archives...

5. saparch : here it stores the archives..The default location of archives if u have not changed it at oracle level.....

6. sapbackup : this is default folder for backups that u r taking from SAPDBA

7. sapcheck : here it generate some log file when u try to analyze the database thorugh the SAPSDBA

8. sapreorg : when u perform reorganization it willcreate dump in this directory..

9. saptrace : this folder contains the ALERT logfile & TRACE file f the oracle and SAP .........

you need to understand ORACLE arcitecture to understand about this folder

i recomend you go through TADM51

in oracle all the changes to the database are logged

these log are written to origlogA once this gets filled then it writs to origlogB

since these are required and most importent files oracle recomend to keep mirror of the folders they are mirrorloga & b

sapbackup,sapreorg,saptrace,sapreorg and saparch are temp location when we do any archiving or backup using BRTOOLS/SAPDBA
