Compare communication channel configuration using Directory API

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to compare different similar type of communication channel from different environment?

We have many channels with multiple module parameters and sometimes due to human error some parameters are missed. Is there any easy way to compare 2 channels (may be using Directory API) from different environment?

Hi Suman,

Yes, it is possible.

For starters you can go to WSNavigator, and invoke Read operation in CommunicationChannelIn service and verify that module parameters are being displayed.

You can write Java Code to pull in these module parameter details from multiple adapters.

Hello Suman,

There is also a commercial tool available which compares PI objects (ESR and Directory Objects). No need to program!

Just have a look at https://www.arianim.com/ and look for the UDO tool.

(I have some relationship to this company).
