As an OEM we would like to call-off JIS-Outbound (SEQJIT) messages to Suppliers for component groups by providing them with the component list(Order BoM) . However, I find no BAPI to create Outbound Sequenced JIT call(Control cycle type= ''S") .It is not clear why SAP has developed this purely from a Tier-1 Supplier's perspective- insistent on having a forwarded Inbound JIT to generate an Outbound Seq JIT (via Perform Action OCRE) . SAP OSS Support's standard response was that the call-off BAPIs such as
BAPI_JITCALLOUT_CREATECALL
was not designed to create Seq JIT Call-offs but only for Automatic & Summarized JIT .How can Summarized JIT be the SAP Best practice recommendation for OEMs to call-off sequenced parts from Suppliers? Both SumJIT and SeqJIT generates SEQJIT message type and has fields to populate the Seq.No though!! So either we stick to SumJIT but still force the seq.no internally or create Seq.JIT calls directly via FM JITOUT08_CREATE_JITCALL which is an Un-released function!
Kindly share your experiences.
