Technical description for the softwarecomponents required(PI,PI_BASIS etc)

Hi All,

I want technical description related links for the components like SAP_ABA

SAP_BASIS,ST-A/PI,ST-PI,ABA_PLUS,EA_IPPE

The description should contains the details like for what purpose the respective component intended for and any inter dependencies with other coponents etc...

Hi,

The SAP_BASIS,SAP_ABA, SAP_BW...... are software components that make up your SAP Stack. Apart from that ST-PI is SAP Solution Tools Plug-In.

When you perform a SP Level Upgrade (Support package import) then you need to refer to particular SAP Note depending on the SAP Stack you are operating. This SAP Note deals with all the technical dependencies, issues and probable solutions to them.

For Example : SAP_BW will generallly be dependent on SAP_BASIS & SAP_ABA. Next before importing the N level of SAP_ABA you need to first import the N level of SAP_BASIS.

You should check the dependencies before making the import.
