SRM upgrade from 4.0 to 5.0

Hi Gurus

I have SAP standard workflows(for shopping cart approval) currently running in SRM 4.0 .Now still some of those workflows in the system has not yet been completed.i.e they are still in 'In progress' status .However , the system is shut down and then system is upgraded to SRM5.0 . Now here i have concerns as to if my earlier pending workflows will still be seen or errored out or not seen at all ? ..

In other words, how open workflows are handled by SAP when we upgrade from SRM 4.0 to SRM 5.0.??

Please share some thoughts and points shall be your way.

Seems to be a bug in the system.. Please give complete details and steps..

Have u checked via transactions BBP_PD, BBP_MON_SC (monitor Shopping cart), ST22 ?

Any SAP OSS notes applied in last few weeks.. Might be side-effect of the same as well ? What all Workflow related SAP Notes are applied recently in the system ?

Any errors, logs, messages .. do let me know..

Also, for faster processing of the issue, please create a customer OSS message with SAP as well.

Let me rephrase my question . There is no bug as such . Infact there is a requirement to upgrade SRM 4.0 to 5.0 .In such scenario business wants to know how open SAP standrad workflows will behave when system upgrades to SRM 5.0 .

THey are doing following:

A)They have Shopping Cart Approval workflow in "In Progress Status" in SRM 4.0,because the manager hasnt approved the shopping cart yet.

B)This SRM 4.0 is put down for maintenance so that they do upgrade to SRM 5.0

C)Now business wants to know if the earlier Workflows (as per step A)which was still awaiting the Manager's approval be still seen or it will be errored out because of upgrade.? ...

Actually the point we want to be sure if any open workflows (SAP standard ones) will be drastically affected if have not not been completed ,if we upgrade to SRM 5.0 in between?

Let me know on this aspect
