Hi sdn folks

I am trying to achieve a functionality in webi in which a currency key figure(column) is having various currencies (USD ,EUR,GBP..etc).
I wanted to display the output with the sum of USD ,sum of EUR ,Sum of GBP.

Assume that the currencies may not be same every time it will cheange dynamically some times it will have only USD and some time it will have multiple .

Ex :

PO |Material | qty | UOM | Price |currency

PO123 | M1234 |10 |EA |100 | USD

PO123 | M1234 |50 |LT |50 |GBP

PO123 |M5678 |20 |EA |80 |EUR

Total |30 |EA |100 |USD

|50 |LT |50 |GBP

| 80 |EUR

I know it is by default possible in BEx but in webi formated layout how to achieve this. I tried various ways but not able to figure it out.

Cheers

Hi,

Are you trying to show subtotal for each PO and show a concatenation of Subtotal text with Currency?.

Try this:

="Sum of"+[Currency]

Post sample data how you want to see the output as. that helps actually.

Thanks,

Jothi

Hi Jothi

Thanks for your quick response .

The problem is i am using measure as a separate column & it's dimension(currency) as a separate coulm .

Reason being while the user is exporting to excel he can use excel functions.

is there any other possibility that i can achieve individual total by currency. splitting of the total number in one column & currency in other column

such as

Measure | Currency

100 | USD

50 | GBP

80 | EUR

Remember it will be always dynamic. Not with fixed currency layout.

Hi,

Yes, using a Context within formula.

=Sum([Price]) IN ([Currency])

Use the above formula replacing Price column.

Thanks,

Jothi

Do a break/ section on Currency and then insert a sum on price. The end result would be the sum(USD), etc in each section/ break footer. you can also use outline to only show the footer for each currency if you want

Hi Kuldeep Ghosh

I tried this option as i explained in my earlier post a single PO will have multiple currency situation in that case your PO will get repeated in the same report by using the option that you have suggested.
I am trying to achieve over all totals for each currency type with out displaying the PO multiple times.
Similar like BEx or ALV grid display in ECC.

Instead use Break on Currency and display PO on 2nd column.

That way you will have subtotal for each currency and PO's related to that currency Type.

Currency|PO|Price

--------------------------

Subtotal for each Currency

Thanks,

Jothi
