Changing User ID# for sidadm

1620 Views

Hi All.

We have a 3 system production landscape - 1 CI/DB server and 2

application servers. We have noticed issues that relate to the fact

that the sidadm user among the 3 servers have different user IDs.

Specifically, the CI user ID for sidadm is 211. The user ID for sidadm

on the application servers is 208. The 208 user ID maps to a different

user name on the CI, so files written to the CI by the application

server (as user ID 208) are being mapped to a user that is not sidadm.

The answer is to synchronize the user IDs for sidadm amongst the 3

servers. We are working to change the user ID for the sidadm user on

the application servers from 208 to 211 to match the CI.

I'm trying to find some guidance on how to avoid issues in

performing this adjustment - what to look for, what to be careful of,

etc.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

We are running ECC 5.0 on Oracle 9.2.0.6 on AIX 5.3
