Help With DTW File Layout for oInventoryGenEntry - Serial Numbers

I'm trying to load serialized inventory using the oInventoryGenEntry object in DTW. I'm getting errors when loading serialized items and I think it has to do with the first few columns in the serial number file. Does anyone have a sample file layout for the Record Key, Line Num and BaseLineNumber? I think that's where my problem is. Many thanks.

    Hi,

I make a migration using oInventoryGenEntry but i cant find the templates.

I put in the header document in recordkey, numbers from 1 to 200 (in my case the number of documents) and in the rows file the same recordkey for each line that below to the doccument.

In linenum you have to put numbers begining with 0 and ending with the number of rows in each document.

    Baselinenumber in left it null.

    Example,

    HEADER DOC

    RecordKey

    1

    2

    LINES DOC

    Recordkey Line Num

    1 0

    1 1

    1 2

    2 0

    2 1

    2 2

    2 3

    2 4

In this case i want to migrate 2 documents: the first one has 3 lines and the second has 5.

I hope this works for you

    Rosa

Thanks a lot. This answers my question. I didn't have the InternalSerialNumber set at all. I actually found an SAP Note describing this as well under SBO-DTW, search term "batch".
