billing cancellation

hi,

what is the difference between cancelling an invoice by tcode vf11. where i dont even specify a doc type s1 or anything.

And cancelling a invoice by going to tcode VF01 and selecting the invoice cancellation in the drop down option?

what is the diffrence really. are both ok ?

    Hello Neha,

I dont think you have the option of cancelling the invoice in VF01 as it is only for creation and you can go to VF02 and cancel the invoice. But that time also it will lead to VF11 screen only.Go to VF02 and cancel the invoice and see the below T.code and you will find that it is in VF11 screen.Reward if useful.

so this means cancellation we should use any one of the options, either goto vf02 and cancel or with the doc no go to vf11 and do it. thanks for the responses . have awarded points already.

as far as the cancellation is concerned, there's no big difference in between these two option...most of the time i use vf01..i really didn't see any differences arising.

    Hi Neha,

You don't even need to specify the document type in VF01 as well.

You can go to VF02 in the orginal billing document and press cancel from the blue menu bar.

System takes the cancellation billing document from the configuration in transaction VOFA.

For e.g. the document type is F2 then the cancellation type specified there would be S1.

    Reward points if it helps.

    Regards

    Karan
