Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what are all the basic roles required in ECC6.0 for accessing the ESS components from WebDynpro deployed in WebAS 7.0?

Regards,

Ratnakar

Hi,

For a portal user to access an employee from the backend, they both must be connected. For this do the following steps.

1. select an employee in PA30

2. Go to infotype 0105 and subtype 0001

3. Create a record with value as your portal user id.

4. Save it.

Now the backend employee is connected with the portal user. You can check the same using transaction HRUSER.

Hope it helps.

Sharadha

on the ECC side you need the role SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP.

make sure you run the transaction HRUSER to assign an employee# to your userID. Also, keep in mind that if, for the same user, the portal and ECC user IDs are different, then user mapping between portal and ECC user id is required.

cheers. don't forget points if answer was useful.

what doyou mean by employee# to your userID.

employeeid means SAP R/3 access and user id mean portal user login id ..
