Lookup value in start routine and update rules

hello,

i have a requirement where ODS 1 has date called Delivery date. I want to populate ODS 2 with this Delivery date where ods1.sales document = ods2.sales document. i need a sample code where in the start routine i fetch the values in an internal table and then use the internal table in the update rules.
