Hello experts,
When using bookmarks other than Standard Bookmarks, I noticed that the global variables are not saved with the bookmark. Is this a bug or by design?
Additionally, is there any way I could trigger the start up event when loading from a bookmark URL?
Thanks in advance for the help!
BR,
Ronaldo Rigobello
Hi Ronaldo,
Global variables are not saved for Fragment or Portable Fragment Bookmarks. This is by design because such bookmarks only save part of an application, unlike Standard Bookmarks which save the entire application.
Also, the suppression of the On Startup event on loading of a bookmark is by design.
I would recommend upgrading to Lumira Designer 2.0 (scheduled for GA release this week) because it includes a new, more robust and feature rich bookmarking concept.

Mustafa.

Hi Mustafa,
Working in Lumira Designer, just wondering if you have experienced an issue at all where with the new bookmark component, global variables are saved for the first bookmark created, but then if creating a further bookmark from that initial bookmark, the global variables seem to revert to their default values as saved in the application?
Cheers, Ivan.
Hi Ivan,
I have created a test application with Lumira Designer 2.1 and cannot replicate your issue. The global variable values are saved as expected and load correctly when the corresponding bookmark is loaded. Perhaps it is a scripting issue in your case?
You can download my test Lumira document here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/w0x3q48xk80v782/SCN.lumx?dl=0

Dear Experts,
I am currently facing exactly the same issue as Faizan. When loading the bookmark via generated link the error message appears (Lumira Version: 2.3). Is there any solution to this?
faizan.arefin, did you find a solution?
Thanks
Heiko
